You hear it time and time again – the “comfort zone” excuse. The “I don’t want to do ______________ because that’s way out of my comfort zone.” The “I’ve never done this before, but I don’t feel comfortable with doing this.” The excuses that relate to our “comfort zone” are endless, but we all seem to resort to it when we’re faced with situations that simply make us feel – uncomfortable. And who really wants to feel uncomfortable?

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DO.

You see, successful people are willing to do whatever it takes to get out of the zone that no longer pushes them towards greatness. And they don’t see the comfort zone as comfortable, but rather “the complacent zone” because it doesn’t challenge them. So here’s three reasons why YOU shouldn’t be comfortable in your comfort zone.

You WANT to be successful – Let’s face it – everyone wants to be successful in their life, and how we define success truly is subjective. Despite the definition being subjective to each one of us, success is usually described as a point of happiness, whether that be marked by financial success, lasting and joyful relationships, and/or a better career.

You HAVE the potential to go further than you ever have – Why stop doing what you’re doing when you know on the inside you’re settling? It’s like going to the gym with the goal to lose weight, you lose 10 lbs (yay!) and you find yourself hitting a plateau because you’re doing the same routine over and over again, when you KNOW you have the potential to go further with your goal by doing some changes.

You DESERVE more in life – God truly has so much more in store for us. He’s made so many promises in His Word about how much He wants to move in our lives and if we’re obedient to His Word and His Voice, he will also continue to bless us. Why would you think that you don’t deserve more than what you have if your Heavenly Father wants so much more for you?

Let’s chat! What are you doing each day to get out of your comfort zone?
